Becoming a Member

Interested in church membership?

Here are the basic steps to joining the church body at Flint Reformed Baptist Church.

Step 1: Indicate Interest to Pursue Membership – A candidate for membership may express interest in joining Flint Reformed Baptist Church by speaking to one of our church elders.

Step 2: Attend a Prospective New Member Class – Our membership class is offered several times each year. Typically, the class meets for four one-hour sessions on consecutive Sunday afternoons. Many topics are covered to convey FRBC’s history, core beliefs, responsibilities for members, and vision.

Step 3: Participate in a Prospective Membership Interview – This is an opportunity for at least two of the elders to get to know you better, hear about your conversion, baptism, and walk with Christ, as well as answer any questions you may have about Flint Reformed Baptist Church.

Step 4: Sign the Church Covenant – New Member candidates will be asked to sign the church covenant.

Step 5: Receive Congregational Affirmation – New Member candidates will be presented to the congregation at a Members’ Meeting, at which time the congregation will be asked to officially vote to approve the candidates as members of FRBC.
