Flint
We are Flint Reformed Baptist Church. Flint has been serving the greater Albany area since our founding in 2007. We place an emphasis on Expositional Preaching (from the text), Discipleship Training (every member to be a follower of Jesus), and Intercessory Prayer (through small group interactions and churchwide prayer services).
We seek to make, mature, and multiply disciples of Christ by reaching, teaching, training, sustaining, and sending Christians by the Word of God, through the Holy Spirit, to the Glory of the Triune God.
Reformed
We are a Reformed church, which means that our beliefs fit within the Protestant Reformation of the 16th and 17th century along with reformers such as Martin Luther and John Calvin. By "Reformed" we specifically mean that we are Calvinistic (holding to the Doctrines of Grace or T.U.L.I.P.); we are Confessional (holding to the London Baptist Confession of 1689); we are Covenantal (holding that God has always dealt with his people by grace).
Baptist
We are a Baptist church, which means that our distinctives align with many Baptist congregations throughout the centuries and around the world. By "Baptist" we specifically mean that we are Credo-baptistic (holding to water baptism exclusively by immersion for repentant believers); we are Congregational (holding to the authority of the local congregation as led by the elders of that church); we are Communal (holding that the Lord's Supper is a means of grace for repentant believers).
Church
We are a Church, which means that our mission is to be an outpost of the kingdom of God here on earth and our commission to to expand that kingdom. By "church" we specifically mean that we are Christians (those who have been brought to new life by the Spirit to believe in Jesus and repent of our sin); we have Covenanted together (to help each other grow in our walk with Jesus Christ); we are Committed (and therefore submit to each other in love and in discipline).
